The biggest change to the franchise happening with the latest entry is dropping the episodic release format. Since Telltale Games declared bankruptcy back in 2018, and considering it lost most of its assets and part of the original team working on its games, it is likely that things will change for the series. With Life is Strange: True Colors closing in, it's safe to assume that the new Telltale Games will draw inspiration from what is changing with the game for its second, very anticipated season called The Wolf Among Us 2.
